Designer Jean Tips

Know your correct sizing, and the different designer jean styles available, and  you will find just the righ pair.

Maybe you have decided it’s time to buy your first pair of quality designer jeans. We’re not talking about department stores jeans here, you plan to spend a little more money on these and you want them to look just right. There are a few things you need to know before you step out the door, as there are many different styles and looks available for you to buy. Let’s take a look at some of these different styles of designer jeans.

No two people will have exactly the same body type.  Fortunately, there is a fit of designer jeans for almost any figure.  Tall, short, plus size, maternity, tight, loose, nary, flare, and on and on it goes with all the different styles.  When you walk into the store this will probably be the first thing you notice, and you might not know just where to begin.  You will probably be able to choose from the following models made by several different brands.

Firstly, realize that you need to leave a little extra room to allow for the jeans to shrink.  They will shrink up a little after the first few times you wash them.  If you have a really toned mid section you can think about trying on a pair of low rise jeans.  Particularly if you have those six pack abs the low rise jeans will show them off well.  If you like jeans that fit a little looser, and a somewhat wider at the foot then a boot cut type of jean will do nicely for you.  Flare jeans are the same as boot cut because the angle at which they widen out extends much higher up the leg.  The flair design has been quite trendy lately, and offers women a more casual look than the plain straight leg.  For a faded out throwback look you will want to consider trying on a pair of stone washed jeans.  This type of fabric treatment makes the jeans incredibly soft and comfortable.  To take this idea even further is the distressed jeans, which have a shredded look that includes some holes and makes the jeans look as if they were years old.  If you are looking for a more formal look consider purchasing navy blue or black designer jeans.

To get the jeans to fit just right you need to consider your body type, as different styles of jeans will fit different body shapes differently. If you are a plus size person you may want to consider a boot cut jean, as they are proportioned in such a way as to make your size a benefit to how your body looks. If you have bulges you can consider a dark color of jean as this will tend to hide your size. If you are more slender in appearance then you can get away with wearing the flare cut, as these will make you look stylish without looking too big. If you have an athletic type body then you will most definitely want to try on some skinny jeans to show off your shape. If you have great abs or an attractive mid section you need to try on a low rise pair of jeans.
